Competition Guidelines

FloraNova — Beyond Tradition. No Borders is a global, online floral design competition. By entering, you agree to the following rules:

Eligibility

Open to all floral designers worldwide. Regional competitions are open to designers based in the countries listed for that region. The Global event is open to all designers regardless of country location.
Entrants may submit one design per class purchased.
Open Classes: Open classes are available to all entrants, regardless of previous competition experience. These classes welcome both seasoned designers and newcomers who wish to challenge themselves at any level. Designs will be judged to the same standard for all competitors.
Novice / Beginner Classes: Novice / Beginner classes are specifically intended for those who are new to floral art competitions. Eligibility is limited to entrants who have never competed before, or who have competed only at local level (e.g., club, community, or regional shows). Entrants who have previously competed successfully (any level of prize/award) in national or international competitions are not eligible for Novice / Beginner classes.

Plant material must predominate in the design.
Fresh plant material must be in a water-retaining medium or source, unless otherwise stated in the class schedule.
Artificial plant material is not permitted except for specified classes.
Painted or otherwise treated plant material is permitted unless prohibited in the class description.

Each entry must be the competitor's own work.
Designs should be a maximum width of 70cm with unlimited height unless otherwise stated in the relevant schedule.
Designs must be created for this competition and not previously published or entered elsewhere.
One photograph per entry.
Image must be high quality (max file size 5MB, JPG or PNG).

The photograph should represent the design accurately — minimal editing is allowed for exposure, cropping, and colour correction.
Digital alteration of the design itself is not permitted.

Entries will only be accepted via the official upload process in the application.
All entries must be received by the closing date/time.

Designs are judged on the Principles and Elements of Design relevant to floral art.
The judging decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

By entering, you grant FloraNova 2026 the right to use your image for event promotion, results announcements, and the post-competition showcase.
